Webinar: Funding for research to support independent living with dementia

Do you have an idea that could help people living with dementia live more independently?

Join our webinar to learn about new funding for early-stage research in sustainable, low-burden technologies.

What we’re looking for:

  • Tech solutions for: mobility, everyday living, communication, health monitoring, carer support

  • Projects co-developed with people with lived experience

  • Cross-disciplinary proposals led by academic researchers in collaboration with industry

Funding at a glance

  • £50,000 - £100,000 per feasibility project

  • Funding at 80% FEC

  • 12 - 24 month projects starting from June 2026

About the ZeDTech Summit

The ZeDTech Summit will officially launch the network and bring together people from across the UK, including researchers, tech developers, clinicians, carers, industry, the third sector, and those with lived experience of dementia.

Location: The Francis Crick Institute, London King's Cross St Pancras
Date: Monday 9th March 2026
Time: 9.30am - 6.30pm

Outline agenda

  • Introduction to ZeDTech vision & principles

  • Presentation of findings from national scoping review & local horizon scanning work

  • Initial feedback from public & professional surveys & workshops

  • Launch of funding calls for feasibility research projects

  • Networking opportunities to foster new connections

  • Exchange ideas for new research projects
